Kurz und knapp: ein Check der 17 fiktionalen Grimmepreisnominierungen 2014\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Zum Wochenende gibt es ein paar bunte Bildchen: es geht los mit dem erweiterten 6-Gewerke-Check der Nominierungen zum Grimmepreis<\/strong> 2014 im Wettbewerb Fiktion \/ Einzelsendungen, die diese Woche bekannt gegeben wurden, und zwei Gr\u00f6\u00dfen zur Besetzung.
\nDie Auswertung ging diesmal recht schnell, da die Seite vom Grimmeinstitut <\/a>die meisten Zahlen auff\u00fchrt. Interessanterweise wird an erster Stelle das Drehbuch genannt, danach erst die Regie. Die Produzent\/innen werden nicht genannt (die habe ich aus der Crew United <\/a>Datenbank), daf\u00fcr gab es Angaben zu den Redakteur\/innen, die ich erstmals in einer SchspIN-Auswertung einbeziehe. Der schnelle Besetzungscheck untersucht die erstgenannten Rollen und die Geschlechterverteilung im auf der Grimmepreisseite genannten Hauptcast.<\/span>\"Grimme_2014_d\"<\/a>Gestern las ich die schwedische Schlagzeile \u201eM\u00e4nnen dominerar filmbranschen i \u00a0Norden<\/a>\u201c, \u00e4hnliches\u00a0 gilt auch hier, das viele Pink sticht schon ziemlich in die Augen – was aber auch an der Einstellung meines Monitors liegen kann. <\/span><\/p>\n

Als \u00fcbliche Referenzgr\u00f6\u00dfen neben der 50 % Linie sind die Frauenanteile in den jeweiligen Fachverb\u00e4nden (gr\u00fcner Kreis) und in der Datenbank von Crew United (gelbe Raute) angegeben. Luft nach oben im Regiesektor, und besonders auch im Schnitt und – wieder einmal – bei der Besetzung. 5 von 17 Filmen f\u00fchren im Cast an erster Stelle eine weibliche Rolle auf. Diesen Wert kennen wir noch vom letzten Jahr, die folgende Tabelle zeigt den Vergleich:<\/span>\"Vgl_Grimme_1314\"<\/a>Angestiegene Werte bei Regie und Drehbuch, deutlich abgefallene Werte in allen anderen untersuchten Gewerken. Vor allem den Schnittwert finde ich erstaunlich, nur 3 Filme hatten eine Cutterin. Die Zahl der Kamerafrauen ist von\u00a0 4 auf 1 gesunken.
\nAbschlie\u00dfend noch mal eine Grafik, die die Anzahl der Filmschaffenden in ihren jeweiligen Berufsverb\u00e4nden und in der Crew United Datenbank zeigt. Die Schauspielwerte hab ich ausgespart, sie sind einfach zu hoch: \u00fcber 9.000 in der Crew United Datenkbank und \u00fcber 2.000 im BFFS.<\/span>\"7Gew_d\"<\/a>Wie immer gilt, dass diese Werte nat\u00fcrlich nichts \u00fcber die Qualit\u00e4t eines Films aussagen. Trotzdem finde ich es wichtig,\u00a0 auch die Geschlechterverteilung in den Gewerken und Besetzungslisten von Filmgruppen zu betrachten. Solange jede dieser Auswertungen eine deutliche M\u00e4nnerdominanz ergibt, k\u00f6nnen wir nicht von einem Zufall sprechen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die letzten Artikel auf SchspIN handelten alle vom Fernsehen. N\u00e4chste Woche beginnt die Berlinale, das hei\u00dft mein Fokus richtet sich ab sofort auf Kinofilme, Branchentreffs und festes Schuhwerk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Short and Pink: The 17 Nominations for\u00a0 German TV Awards \/ Fiction 2014<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As a start into the week-end let\u2019s have a a look at some colourful graphs! They show the 6-divisions-check for the nominations to the German TV Awards (Grimmepreis<\/strong>) 2014 in the competition Fiction \/ individual films, and also two glances at the casts. The nominations were announced this week.<\/span>
\nAnd actually this has been quite an easy evaluation, since nearly all crew members in question are listed on the webpage <\/a>of the Grimmeinstitut, incidentally, they start with the script writers, not the directors. The unnamed producers I found in the data base of Crew United<\/a>. Also for the first time I am able to list the commissioning editors for the films. For the casts I have evaluated the share of women for the firstly named roles and the main casts, as listed on the page.<\/span>
\n\"Grimme_2014_e\"<\/a>Yesterday I read the swedish headline \u201eM\u00e4nnen dominerar filmbranschen i \u00a0Norden<\/a>\u201c, and something similar can be said in this case, the overload of pink is quite penetrating, but that might also be due to the settings of my monitor.<\/span>
\nAs customary reference apart from the 50 % line the shares of women for the respective professional associations (green circles) as well as the data base of crew united (yellow diamonds) are added. There is still room for improvement for the directing figures, more so for film editing and once again for the casts.Only 5 out of the 17 films had a female character on top of the list. The same number as last year\u2019s actually, as is shown in the following table:<\/span>\"Vgl_Grimme_1314\"<\/a>Increased values for direction and scriptly, strongly decreased values in all other investigated divisions. What I find most remarkable is the film editing, only three films were edited by a woman. The number of camera women has fallen from 4 to 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally once again a figure showing the number of filmmakers in the respective associations and crew united database. I have left out actresses and actors, they are simply too many for the graph: more than 9,000 in the crew united database, and more than 2,000 in their union, the BFFS.<\/span>\"7Gew_e\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Once again I would like to point out that these statistics say nothing about the quality of a film. Nonetheless I think it is important to look at the gender distribution in the crew departments and casts of groups of films. As long as every evaluation shows a distinct male majority, we have to disregard the possibility of this just being an accident.<\/span><\/p>\n

The last few texts on SchspIN all had to do with television, next week sees the start of the Berlinale \u2013 The International Film Festival of Berlin.
