\u201eBei einem Treffen von Filmschaffenden in Santiago de Compostela im Jahr 2010 waren sich alle Anwesenden einig, dass ein europaweites Netzwerk weiblicher Professioneller im audiovisuellen Bereich dringend erforderlich ist, um die berufliche Benachteiligung von Frauen und ihre reduzierte Darstellung in Filmen und anderen Medien zu bek\u00e4mpfen<\/em>.\u201c
\nDies beschreibt den Gr\u00fcndungsmoment<\/a> von EWA, dem European Women’s Audiovisual Network<\/strong> mit Sitz in Stra\u00dfburg, das seine Ziele u.a. durch Studien, Ausbildungsprogramme, Netzwerkveranstaltungen und Kontakte zu Verb\u00e4nden, Institutionen, F\u00f6rdereinrichtungen und Politiker\/innen verfolgt.
\nAn dieser Stelle sei <\/span>auf den aktuell ausgeschriebenen Multiple Revenue Stream Training Course For Future Films<\/em> (f\u00fcr Frauen und M\u00e4nner) hingewiesen, bei dem es um Finanzierung und digitalen Vertrieb von Filmen geht. Der Kurs findet zwischen Juni 2015 und Januar 2016 an jeweils 3 Tagen in Glasgow, Amsterdam und Barcelona statt. Es werden zwei Teilnahmestipendien<\/strong> vergeben. Bewerbungsschluss ist der 15. M\u00e4rz 2015,<\/span> Informationen<\/a> auf der EWA-Webseite.<\/span>\"EWA_logo\"<\/a>EWA arbeitet u.a. mit der Europ\u00e4ischen Audiovisuellen Informationsstelle OBS<\/em>, der Europ\u00e4ischen Union<\/em> und dem Filmf\u00f6rderungsfonds<\/em> des Europarates Eurimages<\/em> zusammen.<\/span>
\nPr\u00e4sidentin ist die spanische Regisseurin Isabel Coixet<\/strong> (NOBODY WANTS THE NIGHT), Vizepr\u00e4sidentinnen die t\u00fcrkische Produzentin Zeynep \u00d6zbatur Atakan<\/strong> (WINTER SLEEP) und die spanische Regisseurin, Autorin und Produzentin Paula Ortiz<\/strong> (Amapolafilms), und gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrende Direktorin ist die Produktionsleiterin und Finanzierungsberaterin Francine Hetherington Raveney<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4nder werden Botschafterinnen<\/a> ernannt, die f\u00fcr EWA-Aktivit\u00e4ten und \u2013Kontakte auf nationaler Ebene verantwortlich sind. Bis vor kurzem waren es 13, f\u00fcr Albanien, Belgien, Island, Italien, Kroatien, Luxemburg, \u00d6sterreich, Portugal, Schweiz, Spanien, T\u00fcrkei, Ungarn und das Vereinigte K\u00f6nigreich Gro\u00dfbritannien und Nordirland.
\nUnd seit Februar gibt es auch eine Botschafterin f\u00fcr Deutschland, n\u00e4mlich mich<\/strong>.<\/span>
\nIch werde also zuk\u00fcnftig EWA-Aktivit\u00e4ten organisieren, das Netzwerk vergr\u00f6\u00dfern und gemeinsam mit Mitgliedern und Sympathisantinnen in Deutschland EWA\u2019s Kampf gegen \u201edie berufliche Benachteiligung von Frauen und ihre reduzierte Darstellung in Filmen und anderen Medien<\/em>\u201c unterst\u00fctzen.<\/span><\/p>\n

European Women\u2019s Audiovisual Network<\/strong> EWA<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u201eAt the meeting of filmmakers in Santiago de Compostela in 2010 all of those present agreed on the necessity of there being a pan-European network of audiovisual sector female professionals to combat inequality in this area and to fight against reductive images of women in audiovisual content<\/em>.\u201c
\n<\/span>This describes the starting point<\/a> of EWA, the European Women\u2019s Audiovisual Network<\/strong> based in Stra\u00dfbourg, which pursues its goals through training programmes, networking, contacts to associations, institutions funding bodies and politicians, by promoting events and initiatives, creating a platform for sharing information and showcasing work from female audiovisual creatives on a larger European scale.
\nHere\u2019s a brief mention of the upcoming \u201eMultiple Revenue Stream Training Course For Future Films<\/em>\u201c (for women and men) which aims at conveying \u201etechnical skills to raise funds via crowdfunding and marketing and distribute their films and audiovisual projects so as to reach a wide international audience in the context of digital convergence<\/em>.\u201c The course is organized in three 3-day-blocks in Glasgow, Amsterdam and Barcelona between June 2015 and January 2016. Two scholarships<\/strong> are available, deadline for applications is March 15, for more details<\/a> go to the EWA-website.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"EWA_logo\"<\/a> EWA is collaborating with the European Audiovisual Observatory OBS, the European Union und Eurimags, the Council of Europe\u2019s funding for cinematographic work.<\/span>
\nEWA\u2019s President is spanish director Isabel Coixet<\/strong> (NOBODY WANTS THE NIGHT), vice-presidents are turkish producer Zeynep \u00d6zbatur Atakan<\/strong> (WINTER SLEEP) and spanish director, writer and producer Paula Ortiz<\/strong> (Amapolafilms), executive director is executirve producer \/ film finance consultant Francine Hetherington Raveney<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

EWA appoints Country Ambassadors<\/a> for the European countries who are responsible for EWA activities and contacts on their national levels. Up to now there were 13 ambassadors, for Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
\n<\/span>Since February there is also an Ambassador for Germany, and that is me<\/strong>.<\/span>
